I was wrong about Fringe.
I stopped watching it because I thought it would be science crime of the week, and the thirty minutes into the first show they went for thought transference. Now that I've watched all the episodes (thanks Hulu) I realize that its mad science crime of the week plus season long continuity plus psychotropic drugs.
So, to reiterate, I was wrong and I now like Fringe very much (Prince of Space reference).

Its about a FBI agent seconded to homeland security who investigates weird shit like a busload of people encased in solid smoke, a lady who gets pregnant and come to term within hours, and a bankrobber stuck in a wall. Assisting her are a very mad scientist (he was institutionalized until recently) who actually developed most of the crazy stuff in the show, the scientist's drifter son, and Astrid the
receptionistassistant FBI agent. The show contains a MythArc (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MythArc) but since this is a JJ Abrahms show, it might take seven years to pay off (or they might not even know where its going).
